What a fantastic day it has been so far! This morning we our Book Week Parade which was sensational. Everyone did an amazing job dressing up as their favourite book character, even the teachers got into the spirit of it all. Stay tuned to see some photos of our parade this morning.

How tall are you?
We've been learning all about decimals! Here is a reflection by Aleksandra and Sarah all about our lesson.
In today's maths session our class was learning all about decimals using measurment. We had to measure 5 people in the class and see how tall they were. Once we had collected our results we had to put the results in order from tallest to smallest.
The results were-
James- 1.47m
Emily- 1.41m
Rosa- 1.40m
Victoria- 1.27m
Maui- 1.14

We're going on a cruise down the Yarra!
There are some very excited children in Grade 4A because yesterday they found out that they are going on a cruise down the Yarra River in two weeks. As part of our Victorian History unit what better way to see the sights than cruise down the Yarra River and gain another persepective of Melbourne that alot of the children have never seen before.
The countdown is on! 12 days to go!
Miss Cugnetto :-)
Lots of photos and reflections to be posted soon! Stay tuned!

Where are we going for our excursion?
The children are VERY curious about our excursion in two weeks. Where are we going? All I can say is that I've NEVER done this with a grade before and it will be a fantastic experience.
I'll give you a clue- It involves water...............

Learning all about Length
At the moment the Grade 4's have been learning all about length and in Grade 4A we had so much fun! We had unifix blocks out measuring not only objects around the classroom but also ourselves. Of course we estimated first but discovered we weren't that far off. Check out some of our photos.

Welcome to Grade 4A's first ever blog!
Grade 4A are very excited to now have our very own blog! It's a fun way to share our learning with our friends and family. We have such a great time at school and learn so many things, so what better way to share!
We are 24 fantastic kids in Roxburgh Park who have achieved so much already this year. We are looking forward to the rest of they year....especially the 'secret' excursion coming up very soon. Stay tuned for further details.
We look forward to sharing our work, our thoughts and more importantly, our learning.
